and friendly campsite with a whole host of activities and facilities.

on offer to our guests.

have full free membership.
Campsite values
Stefan
and Doris, the campsite owners wish to encourage the family atmosphere
as the campsite is based on family traditions and values. Over 25 acres
are at your diposal, feel free to roam where you like. It is a point of
Stefan and Doris that nobody shall remain anonymus. You are encouraged
to join them for a drink in the bar each evening. Ask them questions,
they will most likely have the answer and even if they don't they would
be only to happy to find out for you. If you would like to explore the
area they realise everyone has different tastes, just go and ask! They
know the "Périgord" very well and are pleased to be of service. If on
the other hand you prefere to savour the tranquillity of the campsite
and spend your time relaxing on site. Feel free! They will not get in
your way! Both Stefan and Doris will be at your disposal any time.
Children
Kids can play at Camping Maisonneuve in safety,
let them roam around to do as they like. Let them play in the creek on
the campsite boundary, fish in our pond, walk in the woods, swim in our
pool, play table football or table tennis in fact almost anything. All
we ask is that you remember to keep an eye on them, especially when near
water.
Campsite Facilities and Activities
The campsite restaurant "Au Chateau d'eau",
is to be found just beside the swimming pool in an old modified barn.
Here you will find both regional and international dishes. Whether you'd
like steak and chips,a classic regional French dish or the daily changing
"Plat du Jour", just try it out! Fancy a snack? They're available too!
Situated within "Au Chateau d'eau" is a fully licensed bar which caters
for most Europeans tastes. Here you can purchase soft drinks for the kids,
cocktails for the ladies or some french and german draft beers (half pint
or pint) or fine other beers, all served ice-cold, just right for those
long hot Dordogne evenings so often found in the summer. In the evenings
there is satellite TV available and a choice music from a huge selection
of CDs and videos covering everything from 60s tunes, to Rock, Blues and
recent Pop. And if you're a musician, you can try your hand on our band
equipment. We have a set of drums, guitars, keybord, the works!
Swimming Pool
Measuring a generous 23 ft by 46 ft an ideal location for a long hot
summers day idled away with a cool drink on the sun deck. In the evening,
why not swim under the stars, it's fully illuminated and free to all patrons.
A truly unforgettable experience.
Sports Field
Situated beside our swimming pool is a new sports field designed for
Badminton, Volleyball and many other games . Very popular and again no
charge is made.
Walking / Hiking
Here, in the small commune of St. Jory de Chalais we are situated in
the most beautiful countryside. Within a radius of just a few miles newly
signposted pathways have been designed especilally for this purpose, covering
walks from five to twenty miles. Superb walks! How else can you get a
better understanding of the history surrounding this fabulous area.
Cycling
Again as with the above, tracks have been designed for mountain bikers.
These will really test your endurance if you wish. On the other hand you
can take a less strenuous ride on one of the more simple ones if you require.
No bike? No problem! Mountain bikes are avaiable for rental at the campsite.
Horse Riding
Horse riding opportunities are found within10 miles of the campsite.
We would be happy to give you more details on arrival.
Rope Course
In the small village of St. Jory de Chalais just half a mile from our
campsite you will find the first and only rope course in France. Tuition
is available and courses start at very low cost for a days training and
all within the personal limits of the pupil.
Motorcycling
Our campsite caters for the touring motorcyclist having it's own corner
of the site. Here you will find a large area with tables and benches,
a pergola and grilling amenities. The Périgord is especially suited to
the experienced motorcycle enthusiast with it's long hilly roads and sweeping
bends.
