Mark being the fishing fanatic out of the two of us, it was his dream to one day own his own lake.

I have always loved my fishing and I have fond memories as a little boy sitting with my Dad on the local day ticket water waiting for my float to disappear, catching gudgeon and perch. How time has moved on, still sitting with my Dad but now behind a carp rod in the Dordogne producing amazing fish.

It is not about who ties the fanciest rig but how much water craft you have.

My fishing began in the UK catching everything and anything, learning the waggler feeder and pole. Taking my angling skills to Ireland was a real test but catching 100lb bags of bream in wet and windy conditions soon took its toll.

Discovering the joys of fishing in France was a key time in my life, and I have never looked back. I was really lucky to get the opportunity to fish a personal-best-angling venue, and even more so to purchase one!

My PB currently stands at carp to 43lb and catfish 135lb.

Claire is really looking forward to having lots of fishing opportunities over the next few years. A complete first for her so it will be back to basics, but she is excited about the new challenge. She will keep you updated on her progress.

Being at our lake really puts a smile on both our faces and hearing from others about their time at Kingfisher Pools, their achievements and enjoyment is always a pleasure.
