Sourced by underground springs, La Folie was built in 1969 and is now an impressive 2.5 acres (same as Redmire).

One end is around 3 feet which drops to 12 feet at the far end. Lilies both red and yellow are present in the shallower parts. All banks are flat and ideal for the less mobile angler. No snags are present. Fish stocks here are fantastic with 11 over 40 pounds and 2 over 50+ pounds. Lake record stands at over 68lbs....(died 1st August 04). Record catch here are 2648lbs to three anglers in a week. A Large head of catfish are present with most being between 15 to 30lbs. Two larger catfish exist and in fact are the parents to all of the fore mentioned. Dad weighs 66lbs+ approx and mum, a mind boggling 100lbs to 120lbs+. All fish at this location attain a phenomenal growth rate, which we have never been able to reproduce.
