The concept of Personal-best-angling.com was formed seventeen years ago, in this time we have gone from strength to strength. Indeed we now consider ourselves to be the premier choice French fishing holiday company for many people. So how has this been possible? You hardly ever see our name crop up anywhere! Simple we offer the best surroundings, some of the best fishing anywhere, great accommodation and value for money. You never hear of us because we are nearly always booked up. We are privileged to have probably the most loyal clients who patronise us year after year. Indeed many of our clients also think they to are privileged to be able to even get a week with us. So as privileged people of a relatively rich western European country we ask you to consider the following:
Ever think of the poorer people of the world where tomorrows meal is in question because even the basic commodity of food is in excess of their price range? No luxury holiday pursuing the sport they love, just enough food to feed their kids, husband and wife come second if they are lucky. We here at Personal-Best-Angling.com believe whatever we take from life we should give something back, our chosen cause are the peoples of Sri Lanka, hard working, intelligent people but, unlike us, are never given the chance to better themselves. Internal strife, the Tsunami, poverty, all contribute to making for a very hard life. In our very limited way, we help where we can, for instance we sponsor many Tuk Tuk drivers operating from some of the five star hotels around the area. Our contribution pays for their insurance each year. This in turn, stops them driving uninsured or going without food for their families to pay this sum. Just as importantly it keeps honest people in honest employment!
Apart from Tuk Tuk's, we also sponsor an orphanage housing 46 homeless children with and average age of just nine years old. Here we have helped by donating to the orphanage money to buy clothes or whatever they feel they need. Each child now has a bank account with money in trust until they are eighteen years old. Again each child (all girls) are rewarded on passing exams, they now have medical insurance should they need hospital treatment and if their next of kin should die before they are eighteen, they receive ten thousand U.S. Dollars
Christine with one of our favourite little five year olds (one of sisters there) receiving her benefits listed above. So why do we tell you all this? Simple, we are all privileged; after all, you are looking at this on a computer aren't you! We now ask, CAN YOU HELP US MAKE THE LIVES OF THESE CHILDREN BETTER? We are NOT a charity but we ask could you give just £5.00 per month of which we guarantee EVERY SINGLE PENNY will go to the upkeep of the orphanage and the well being of these children. Nothing is used in administration!
